Within in a week the world lost David Bowie and Alan Rickman .
Though I didn't have the pleasure of knowing them personally their deaths have caused an emotional reaction. 
It's strange to think of a world without Alan's beautiful voice threatening to carve Robin hood's heart out with a spoon. He will forever be professor Snape, the best vilian,  who's greatest trick was hiding that he was a hero all along. 
Strange to think that the goblin king of labyrinth who haunted my nightmares as a kid, is gone for good. David Bowie's smile will always fill me with nastalgia and scare me a little. 
His song the man that sold the world, was my introduction to alternative music. I  can't imagine what music would be without his influence. Paving the for so many artists. 
Yet they are gone,  I'm thankful for the work they left us.
Made a bit more precious now.
I just wanted to acknowledge the influence they had on my life, and say thank you. 

Here's to a merry life, and a long one
to a good love, and an honest one
to a quick death, and an easy one
to a cold pint, and another one!

Be safe as we celebrate the death of the old, and the birth of the New

Just a quick note to say I am alive and kicking! I plan on being more active in the new year, I really hope to see you around!
